Human Experience in an AI‑Shaped World of Work

Centering lived experience in AI-enabled systems

Much of the global conversation about AI focuses on advancement - speed, capability, and scale.

This research centers on something less visible:

how people are actually experiencing AI within real roles, real responsibility, and real working lives.

As AI becomes embedded in everyday decision-making, the human implications extend beyond efficiency. They influence judgement, accountability, professional identity, and long-term economic participation.

Why this matters

AI is already shaping how opportunity is distributed, how performance is evaluated, and how decisions are made across industries.

Yet many discussions around AI adoption rely on assumptions about human adaptation rather than direct insight into lived experience.

This survey gathers perspectives across career stages, leadership levels, and sectors to better understand:

  • How people are working alongside AI today

  • Where strain, uncertainty, or opportunity is emerging

  • How longer life spans intersect with shorter role cycles

  • What support structures enable responsible and inclusive AI integration

The goal is not to measure technology.
It is to understand the human experience within it.

As AI systems scale globally, understanding human adaptation at the ground level becomes critical to designing responsible and sustainable AI integration.
